An old apartment is transformed into a bright and airy contemporary living space. A dilapidated drop-ceiling and crumbling plaster above gets replaced, raising the ceiling a full 16". Custom cabinet doors are crafted to bring a modern finish to a small kitchen. New flooring, lighting, and fixtures are installed throughout to complete the transformation.
SOPO deck replacement
This South Portland deck was wavy and uneven, with rotted out railings and unsafe stairs. We stripped it down, dug new footings, replaced the stairs and made other structural repairs. We finished it with a low-maintenance fastener-free composite warrantied for 25 years. The rebuilt deck is straight, safe, and will remain beautiful for many years without ever taking out a paintbrush.

This Portland co-working space already had an inspiring aesthetic, utilizing reclaimed timbers, polished concrete, and industrial metal accents. The problem was that a key office focal point -- the conference room -- lacked any type of sound proofing. We were tasked with replacing the wall and soundproofing the room while retaining the beautiful details and distinct style.

This custom enclosure built from square-cut cedar lumber contributes both form and function to this hot tub: a clean modern appearance also provides privacy, composite decking makes the space feel larger, and a perfectly hidden utility panel allows access to the side of the tub for maintenance.
FINISHED BASEMENT APARTMENT
The task was to take an oversized utility room and unfinished basement passageway and turn it into valuable living space in a two-bedroom inlaw apartment. A new coat room was created from unused space in the utility room, walls were opened up to create a larger space, and custom closets were added throughout -- all while maintaining easy access to important systems and utilities.
